What is BlogTV?
A revolutionary LIVE talk show that talks about things YOU talk about!
Whether you blog about it, tweet it, or facebook it, blogTV will keep its ears peeled to find out what's HOT, and what's NOT, and discuss them.
Guest bloggers and experts from Singapore and around the world (it could be you!) come onto the show; have chats with our hosts either on set or through web cams
and 3G phones. The show – now into its sixth season - will also be telecast ‘live’ not just on your goggle boxes but on your laptops, mobile phones – and any other
devices with an Internet connection. And you can be part of it too, tell us what you think on our Shout Box. Just tweet us LIVE @blogtvsg and see your tweets on
TV. Join our two new hosts, Cheryl Fox and Tim Oh every Wednesday night, starting 28 September, LIVE at 8pm on Channel NewsAsia.

About the hosts!
CHERYL FOX
Voted Singapore’s most ‘Trusted Television News Presenter’, Cheryl Fox is a well-known news anchor who’s also the face of several other award winning
programmes. In Get Rea!, a highly successful current affairs series, Cheryl strips reality bare as she examines social issues that don’t often see the light of
day. She also co-hosts BlogTV, which brings together people of different viewpoints, from different platforms to discuss a topic of the day, on live television
streamed online and over the airwaves. Looking forward to her new stint, she says: “When you tune into a talkshow, in the midst of a lively discussion or heated
debate, chances are you’d have an opinion as well on the issue that’s being tackled. And that’s what makes BlogTV stand out. It’s a live talkshow that’s all about
airing your views from the get-go. You can skype or make 3G calls to us, or tweet your comments throughout the show. It’s about making your voice heard.”
Having joined Mediacorp’s News Division - which manages Channel NewsAsia - since 1999, Cheryl has demonstrated her versatility in the roles she has undertaken –
from programme acquisition to producing and presenting. She presented the morning show, Primetime Morning and the highly rated news programme Singapore Tonight
for several years before moving on to Get Rea!. Aside from the news, Cheryl also hosts a spectrum of lifestyle and information programmes from sports to travel,
food and health. Cheryl has a degree in Mass Communications from Monash University, Australia.
When she is not working, Cheryl enjoys wake-boarding, music, travel,
and cooking.
TIM OH
As the resident dream maker on Gold 90.5 FM’s night time programme R & D Nites, Tim is the one to reach, for all those requests and dedications. Now, he is the
one to watch for his irreverent take on issues of the day on the award-winning programme BlogTV. Never shy to say something cheeky or to pull your leg, this good
natured DJ always has one thing on his mind – FOOD. So at home, while Dad had the keys to the car, Mum had the keys to the kitchen, so Tim is the unabashed
mummy’s boy. In love, Tim is usually faithful, unless led astray by ice cream. And when not behind the microphone, he’s happy to walk along the beach and listen to
soppy sentimental music. Says Tim of his new role as BlogTV host: “I think it’s long been accepted that people find it easier to express their true feelings about
various topics over the internet due to the anonymity and vastness of the medium. I’d love for us to use BlogTV to get those same raw and unfiltered opinions onto
television and with the input from our internet community and our weekly panel of guests, hopefully our viewers can draw their own conclusions and views over what’s
got the island talking.”
MANDY CHONG
Mandy would really like to take this chance and tell the whole world how totally awesome she is only that she’s never really had to write anything about herself on a
public sphere for other people to scrutinize that’s really starting to freak her out as we speak… But what you would like to know is that Mandy’s really out there.
Rest assured, you can feel good about yourself whilst watching her videos because she’s bound to top some embarrassment chart if there is one.
She’s actually a producer at Channel News Asia, and I think it’s safe to say that she’d admit that deep down she’s always been secretly waiting patiently at her
desk for someone to finally ask her to be a host. SCORE!
She’s psyched about her new role and says: “As much as this is an awesome opportunity for a mere mortal like me, I really believe that this can be a great
opportunity for people as well, for people to send in their views
and their ideas. The only reason why I have a job is because there’s interesting people out there with mad ideas. Please make use of us. We would like to be YOUR
medium.”
